We value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the NAS client application ("DS Next") handles information related to your use.
The App does not collect, upload, or transmit your files, NAS data, or personal information to the developer's servers.
For functionality, the App may use limited technical data locally on your device, such as:
Permissions requested by the App are strictly for enabling features (e.g., connecting to NAS, reading/writing local cache). They are not used for analytics or data collection by the developer.
The App does not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties. All data transfer occurs directly between your device and your NAS over your network.
Because the App does not collect personal data centrally, there is no server-side retention. You may uninstall the App at any time to remove local cache and logs. To delete files, please operate directly on your NAS using the App or NAS management interface.
The developer does not add additional server-side encryption to your NAS connection. Security depends on your NAS configuration. We recommend using secure protocols (HTTPS/SSL), VPNs, strong passwords, and multi-factor authentication where supported.
The App is designed with global privacy regulations in mind (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Because the App does not collect personal data, these regulations do not practically apply; however, users retain rights under applicable laws with respect to data stored on their own NAS.
The App does not target or knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child’s data has been collected, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal or product changes. We will publish updates in new App versions. Continued use of the App indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
